NEW ORLEANS - Officers and community members are heading out on crime walks on Wednesday night.
In the second district, officers are teaming up with the 610 Stompers to help stomp out crime in that neighborhood.
The walk starts at 6 p.m. at the intersection of South Galvez and Cadiz.
In the fourth district, officers are teaming up with the Woodland Heights Community Group for their monthly anti-crime walk.
The community get together is from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Norman Playground, located on the corner of Berkly and Eton.
In the fifth district, officers and city officials will walk the streets and meet community members during their monthly crime walk.
Residents are invited to walk with them. The group is meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church on Clouet Street.
