NEW ORLEANS - A number of local officials are in Washington D.C. Wednesday morning, hoping to get some money for Gulf Coast recovery.

Representative Steve Scalise and Senator Mary Landrieu are both backing the efforts to get the Restore Act passed.

The measure would dedicate BP Clean Water Act fines to Gulf Coast states for both ecosystem and economic restoration.

Officials said the funds could be anywhere from $5 to 20 billion, split among the five states.
