NEW ORLEANS – A Covington man has been charged with stealing more than $50,000 from the Naval Support Activity in Algiers during a seven-month period in 2010.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Garry Massie, 40, was employed as a loss prevention manager at the NSA on the west bank and he slowly embezzled $50,000 from the Naval Exchange Store between April and October 2010.
If convicted, Massie could face a maximum of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 and a three-year supervised release.
