Man dies after car slams into utility pole

NEW ORLEANS – A man was killed when he apparently lost control of his vehicle and it slammed into a light pole early Saturday, according to the NOPD.
Spokesman Garry Flot said the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. at the intersection of Religious and Celeste Streets.
EMS pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
