NEW ORLEANS - On Monday morning, a man safely descended a 200-foot construction crane on the site of the new medical center.
The man was wrapped in a blanket when he was discovered at the construction site located at Tulane and South Johnson around 7 a.m., police said.
He was on the ground around 8 a.m.
New Orleans paramedics put the man on a stretcher and transported him to the hospital.
He appeared to be wearing a hospital gown, hospital pants, slippers and a hospital-style bracelet.
A NOPD negotiation unit was on the scene, according to police.
