NEW ORLEANS - A missing Jefferson Parish school teacher's family asked the community to come together Thursday night after nearly 13 days of searching.

TerriLynn Monette was last seen at Parlay's bar in Lakeview during the early morning hours of March 2 before she mysteriously vanished.

Texas-based Equusearch began helping New Orleans police on Wednesday.

The group searched City Park bayous, lagoons and ponds with sonar in order to probe the water and soft muddy bottoms for Monette or her missing car.

"We know the vehicle is not in here. We're probably going to do some other things with the dog and put him in a boat," said Equusearch founder Tim Miller.

Miller said he and his four-member crew will continue the search on Thursday using different techniques and directions.

Family members will hold a vigil in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue at 7 p.m.
