NEW ORLEANS – Police found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds lying in a passageway of a New Orleans East shopping center Thursday morning.
Investigators were studying the scene in the 4800 block of Alcee Fortier by 7 a.m. and were still searching for clues in the city’s latest murder.
When they arrived at the shopping center, they found the woman lying face down in the middle of the passageway with multiple gunshot wounds.
A resident of an apartment complex near the passageway said she recognized the victim because she had come by the apartment complex about a week ago looking to rent a unit.
The woman’s identity is unknown at this time.
