NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police arrested a 17-year-old boy for an Algiers armed robbery, according to NOPD spokesman Officer Frank Robertson.
Robertson said investigators believe Willie "Woosie" Sylvester robbed a man by gunpoint Friday in the 6000 block of Belgrade Street. He allegedly stole $240.
Police took Sylvester into custody Wednesday morning at L.B. Landry High School.
Robertson said the victim identified Sylvester from a photographic line up.
This is Sylvester's first adult arrest. He is being held for one count of armed robbery and one count of armed robbery with a gun.
