NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a man missing since before sunrise Sunday morning, authorities said Monday.
Demarcus Williams, 29, was last seen in an unknown bar on Bourbon Street near Conti, the NOPD said in a news release.
According to police, Williams was with his sister when, around 4:30 a.m., he stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. Fifteen minutes later, Williams’ sister went outside to look for her brother but couldn’t find him.
Police said she tried to call him several times but the calls weren’t successful. The news release said Williams, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound black man, was taking medication for cancer and depression.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt with blue jeans.
