NEW ORLEANS - Based on one night's accomodation, dinner for two, cocktails and a taxi ride, New Orleans ranked among the most affordable cities in the U.S. for domestic travelers, according to TripAdvisor.
The total cost came to $283 on the TripIndex ranking and has one of the lowest rates for a taxi ride at $13 per round-trip.
For the second year, the Southern U.S. was the top region for travelers looking for domestic deals. The South featured four of the top 10 most affordable U.S. destinations on the TripIndex: Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta and Orlando, all with total prices between $283 and $309.
