NEW ORLEANS – Nickelodeon has ended its licensing agreement with Southern Star to participate in the redevelopment of a theme park in New Orleans East, it was announced Monday.
Joanna Roses, a spokesperson for Nickelodeon, said the decision was made after Southern Start failed to meet important contractual requirements and deadlines.
“Nickelodeon still believes that New Orleans is a viable location for a licensed Nickelodeon-themed destination,” she said.
The move comes in the wake of an announced shakeup in Southern Star management.
