BATON ROUGE, La. - The parents of a 19-year-old Nicholls State University student who died last year in an on-campus accident are now blaming their sons death on hazing.
Nathan Trepagnier, a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, died when he fell from a hayride and was run over.
An autopsy later revealed that Trepagnier was three times over the legal limit and had the anti-anxiety drug Valium in his system.
Trapagnier's parents have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nicholls and the University of Louisiana system, alleging that members of their son's fraternity pressured him into drinking and taking drugs.
