NEW ORLEANS - Detectives are searching for a man who walked into a cellular phone store on Thursday with a mask over his face and a handgun and who made off with several hundred dollars.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the 3300 block of Bienville Street.
According to police, the masked man walked into the store and straight up to the register, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. Cash was placed on the countertop and then the suspect pointed a gun at the only customer in the store and made him empty his pockets.
Police said the suspect left on foot with about $600-$700.
