NEW ORLEANS -- A proposed food truck ordinance has been downsized. A new draft was introduced Thursday at a New Orleans City Council meeting.
It calls for mobile food vendors to now operate 100 feet from established restaurants instead of the original 50 feet.
The draft also limits the boundaries of where food trucks operate, which will no longer include a large part of the Central Business District.
The City Council could vote on the test pilot ordinance next month.
