NEW ORLEANS -- Times-Picayune employees will learn their fate as part of the new plan to downsize the number of days that the paper will publish on Tuesday, according to multiple agencies.
According to Gambit Weekly, Jim Amoss, the paper's editor, will meet with staff members individually on Tuesday to discuss each employee's future with the paper. Amoss made the announcement to staff at an afternoon meeting.
Layoffs are expected as the paper's management moves to publishing the paper three days a week.
