BATON ROUGE, La. - Gov. Bobby Jindal signed a measure into law prohibiting sex offenders from using social networking websites.

The law prohibits certain registered sex offenders from intentionally using the websites, and defines a social networking website as a site that's primary purpose is facilitating social interactions with other users.

The new law also adds a provision explicitly stating what sites are allowed to be accessed by sex offenders.
