NEW ORLEANS -- There has been some progress in the so-called Sno-ball Wars, a long-running legal battle over a local company's attempts to trademark certain sno-ball flavors.
Court records show that Sno-Wizard has given up its claim to several local favorites, including mudslide, king cake and praline.
That move has postponed a trial that had been scheduled for this week.
Sno-Wizard is being sued in federal court by several area snowball stands.
