HARVEY, La. -- Deputies booked a suspect with one count of second-degree murder after arresting him at his home on Monday, said Sheriff Newell Normand.
Normand said 20-year-old Raassan Brown, of #14 B Ravenna Dr. in Harvey, was identified as a suspect in Sunday night's slaying of Bilal Jacques. Jacques was found shot to death Sunday night on Abbey Road in Harvey.
Brown also has a number of prior arrests including resisting arrest (six counts), possession of marijuana (two counts), battery on a police officer (three counts) and attachments, said Fortunato.
Investigators have not established a motive in this incident.
