METAIRIE, La. - Powerball vendors expected to see an increase in customers Wednesday morning as the jackpot rose to $360 million.

The jackpot is the third largest of all time.

The cash value is nearly $230 million.

March 30 was the last time a player hit the jackpot.

The beginning of 2013 has proven to be lucky for locals. There have been four Powerball prizes of at least $1 million sold in Louisiana so far.

Those prizes were claimed by people from Gretna, Donaldsonville, Morgan City and Mississippi.

Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The winning numbers will be announced on the Eyewitness News at 10 p.m.
