NEW ORLEANS – Watching it from your couch or game day party is one thing. How about taking part in the Super Bowl halftime show with superstar headliner Beyonce, on the field?
Volunteers are being recruited to be part of the stage crew that will help run the stage onto the field and perform other duties during the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Feb. 3.
According to organizers, 500 local men and women are needed to be part of the stage crew. No prior experience is required, but volunteers must attend all posted rehearsals and be over the age of 18.
As an example, there were 8 evening rehearsals and an orientation that volunteers were required to attend before last year's halftime show in Indianapolis.
Interested volunteers shouuld log on to www.superbowlproductions.com for more information and to register and view the rehearsal schedule.
Volunteers will not receive tickets to the game, but will be an integral part of the show.
The game will be broadcast on CBS and WWL-TV Channel 4.
The volunteer effort for the Super Bowl in New Orleans will be massive. For information on other volunteer opportunities, click here for the local Host Committee’s web site.
