Water boil issued for part of Washington Parish

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. -- With the Mount Hermon Water District having portions of its water system experiencing no water or very low water pressure, a precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for the next 48 hours after water service is returned. 

Officials are trying locate the source of the problem, and suggest that residents boil their water prior to human consumption for the 48 hours following the restoration of your water service, after which, the boil advisory will be automatically rescinded. 

"If after testing we determine that the boil advisory needs to be extended, we will notify you again.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at 1-800-375-7570," the French Settlement Water Company said in a statement.
