NEW ORLEANS – A day after ITT Technical Institute abruptly shuttered nationwide, including campuses in St. Rose and Baton Rouge, Delgado Community College officials announced plans to accommodate those students.
The students do not have to wait until January or later to continue studies at Delgado, according to Delagdo, school officials, the school will work with the former ITT students to assess their financial situation and hold a series of meetings for the former ITT Tech students.
According to Delgado, the school has fully accredited programs available to students areas offered by ITT Tech, such as business management, computer and information sciences, firefighting, marketing, law enforcement, and visual and performing arts.
“Delgado is working to create smooth pathways for former ITT Tech students so that their investments of time, energy and funds will have the outcome they desire,” said Dr. Arnel Cosey, vice chancellor for student affairs, who oversees admissions and enrollment at Delgado.
Delgado is prepared to accept applications from former ITT Tech students for the Delgado Second Start classes beginning October 5 at multiple Delgado locations and online. Spring Semester classes begin on January 14, 2017.
