NEW ORLEANS- All across the country, schools and organizations took part in Giving Tuesday, including students at Dillard University.
Dozens of students and faculty members participated in "DU Giving Tuesday." Many students worked in a phone back, calling alumni, asking both graduates and students to give back. Their goal is to raise $100,000 dollars for the school.
"That money will be used mostly to support our students, most of whom require financial assistance to attend Dillard. So, we have over 90 percent of students who require some type of financial aid," Marc Barnes, Vice President of Institutional Advancement said.
A spokesperson for the university says so far they've raised nearly $93,000. DU Giving Tuesday ends at midnight. Officials say if you'd like to donate, click here.
