METAIRIE, La. - At 2:52 p.m. on Wednesday, there was a three car accident one mile from the southshore on the South Causeway Bridge that closed the bridge for about 45 minutes, said Causeway General Manager Carlton Dufrechou.
There was a fire involved, but it was extinguished.
EMS was on scene due to an injury, but the victim's condition and extent of injuries are unknown.
