KENNER, La. – Four lucky ducklings have been rescued from an underground pipe after people working nearby heard them quacking.
According to authorities, an employee at Jefferson Parish Credit Union on Williams Boulevard heard the ducklings in the pipe.
Authorities said the ducklings fell through a drain and were in a pipe underground.
Kenner Fire Department was called, who used a spigot to gently push the ducklings to the end of the pipe, where a small cage had been set up. All four ducklings were safely rescued.
Officials with Jefferson Feed agreed to give food and supplies to the woman who first reported the ducklings. After a few weeks, the ducklings will be returned to Veterans Park.
