Man booked on murder charges after deadly shooting in Marrero

MARRERO, LA. - Deputies in Jefferson Parish arrested a man after a slaying in Marrero Sunday night, reports say.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriffs' Office responded to a shooting around 7:36 p.m. at a home in the 2700 block Hardwood Drive involving two roommates. During the investigation, 54-year-old Paul N. Hoff was arrested and booked on second-degree murder.

JPSO did not identify the victim who died in the shooting.

According to the New Orleans Advocate, Hoff was booked Monday. He would face mandatory life imprisonment if convicted of murder. Two other people are listed as the property's owner.
