NEW ORLEANS - South Louisiana is expected to get nearly $10 million dollars in federal transportation grants, Senator Mary Landrieu said on Thursday.
New Orleans will see $900,000 going towards work zone traffic management on Highway 90.
The proposed construction of a seven-span bridge over Bayou Lafourche will be funded by another $400,000.
In all, the 12 grants from the Federal Highway Administration will fund repairs, new construction, future planning studies and upgrades to the region's transportation infrastructure.
