KENNER, La. - A Thibodaux man has been arrested after allegedly shooting out the windows of a car during a high-speed chase in Kenner on Wednesday.
Jamar Joseph, 30, of 101 Lake Maclaine Avenue, is accused of chasing a man in his car onto Loyala Drive in Kenner after an argument. Joseph allegedly attempted to ram the man's car. When the man turned onto I-10 eastbound, Joseph followed and pulled up alongside him at "a high rate of speed,” according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
Joseph then allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at the man's car, shattering the both the driver's and passenger's side windows. Joesph pursued the car until it came within blocks of the Kenner Police Complex, police said.
Kenner police tipped off local law enforcement agencies early Thursday morning. Officers from the KPD, Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and Thibodaux Police surrounded Joseph's house and took him into custody.
Joseph was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center, where is being held without bond awaiting extradition to Jefferson Parish.
