Man shot, killed during standoff in Terrebonne Parish, state police say

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. -- State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting Friday where a man was shot and killed.

Officials said around 4:30 p.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Fandall Street. When they arrived, deputies said they found out the suspect was armed and had barricaded himself inside the home.

"At some point during the incident, the suspect was shot by deputies and died on the scene," said Trooper Jesse LaGrange with the Louisiana State Police in a release.

Officials added no deputies were injured during the incident, and no other information has been released.

State Police said the investigation is ongoing.
