Teen bicyclist killed in Lafourche Parish crash

RACELAND, La. – A 13-year-old girl was killed after she hit the back of a large truck while riding her bicycle Tuesday afternoon.

Louisiana State Troopers said it happened around 1 p.m. on LA 182, just west of LA 1.

Troopers said Autumn Fuller was traveling opposite traffic on the westbound should of LA 182 on her bike. Randy Reulet, 56, was traveling in the eastbound lane on LA 182. For unknown reasons, Fuller tried to cross both lanes of LA 182 and hit the back of Fuller’s truck, said LSP. Troopers said she died at the scene.

Alcohol and drug involvement are not suspected to be a factor in the wreck, but toxicology reports are standard procedure and pending.

Troopers said Reulet took a breathalyzer test and no alcohol was present in his system.
