NOPD to holding meetings for residents to voice their concerns

NEW ORLEANS – Police are inviting residents to tell them about the concerns during meetings Thursday, geared to specific districts.

Officials said as part of community engagement, officers will meet with residents in their respective districts to talks about their concerns and what can be done to address them.

According to the NOPD, district leadership and officers will be at the meetings, but an independent facilitator will lead the discussions.

The meetings will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the following locations:

First District
Treme Recreation Center
900 N. Villere Street

Second District
Children’s Hospital
200 Henry Clay Avenue

Third District
St. Bernard Recreation Center
1500 Lafreniere Street

Fourth District
Algiers Library
3014 Holiday Drive

Fifth District
St. Roch Community Church
1738 St Roch Avenue

Sixth District
Rosenwald Recreation Center
1120 S. Broad Street

Seventh District
Joe W. Brown Park
5601 Read Boulevard

Eighth District
North Rampart Community Center
1130 N Rampart Street
