HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Mayor Mayson Foster says the budget he's preparing for the 2012-2013 fiscal year will include pay raises for city employees.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/MkTI8N ) employees with up to 20 years of service would receive a 2 percent raise. Foster said employees with 21-30 years of service and those earning more than $75,000 would receive a 1 percent increase.
The City Council plans a work session to set next year's budget at a meeting on June 1.
