HAMMOND, LA. - Tens of thousands of Entergy customers are without power after winter storms brought heavy snows to Louisiana Friday morning.
According to the Entergy New Orleans outage map, 24,036 customers were affected by outages in Tangipahoa Parish as of 10:30 a.m. Friday. Another 3,423 customers were without power in neighboring Livingston Parish.
The Entergy outage map estimates that as many as 62,207 customers across the state are without power. Other areas severely impacted by power outages include Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Calcasieu and Iberville parishes.
“We are experiencing weather-related outages,” the company posted on Twitter. “Crews are safely working to restore power, and additional crews are on the way to some areas.

The Entergy outage map lists an estimated restoration time at 6 p.m. Friday evening.
