SLIDELL, La. – The body of a 21-year-old man who fell overboard into Lake Pontchartrain very early Tuesday morning was recovered around 2 p.m., State Wildlife and Fisheries reported.
Around 3:30 a.m., a Slidell man, Isiah M. Tate, 21, was on a 21-foot boat with three other passengers when he fell overboard, according to the LDWF.
The passengers said they were able to locate Tate, who was not wearing a personal flotation device, twice before he disappeared into the water.
However, they were never able to make contact, officials said.
Crews searched for Tate near the twin spans south of Slidell.
