FLUKER, La. – The investigation into the death of a two-year-old by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office that occurred in Fluker Monday around 6:30 p.m. revealed that the child died after an accidental shooting.
"The investigation revealed that foul play was not involved in the child’s death," said sheriff's office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto.
"The incident was classified as an accidental death where children were playing with a loaded weapon which ultimately resulted in the child’s death."
The sheriff's office did not say if anyone would be charged in the incident.
