SLIDELL, La. -- It was an outpouring of support for the families of two men killed in a shooting in Slidell on the day after Christmas.

The Tragedy 2 Triumph flag football tournament was held Saturday in Slidell to raise money for the families of the shooting victims, Ro Scott and Mark Womack.

The organizer is also the promoter of the event where the shooting happened, and he says he wanted to do something to not only help the victim's families, but to bring people together.

“We're doing it for the kids, trying to show the kids that people can come together. Our community is not a bad community, we do have a good community,” said Savan Fisher the organizer of Tragedy 2 Triumph.

Fisher says nine teams signed up to participate and that all of the money raised Saturday has been split between the two families of the victims.
