Mandeville teens arrested after shooting at car

MANDEVILLE - A couple of teens have been arrested after four gunshots were fired into a parked car in Mandeville early Tuesday, according to Mandeville police.

The incident occurred at around 5 a.m. in the 700 block of Heavens Drive.

Police said there was no report of anyone inside of the vehicle, nor any report of an injury.

The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old William Nicodemus of Covington and 18-year-old Kane DiMaggio, also from Covington.

Police said Nicodemus confessed to his role in shooting the car. Police said he told them that it stemmed from a disagreement between he and the victim's boyfriend.

A short time later, DiMaggio was also arrested.

Nicodemus was booked with aggravated criminal damage and illegal use of weapons. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail.

DiMaggio was booked with simple assault, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice. Police said a handgun was recovered from DiMaggio's vehicle.
