SLIDELL, La. -- A car crash and power outage are causing major problems around Gause Boulevard.

According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, the power is out all along Gause Boulevard and the Military Road area.

"After speaking with Cleco and Washington/St. Tammany, there is a large problem with a primary transmission line which will have power out all along Gause Blvd and the Military Road area for a minimum of 4 hours, maybe sooner," a Facebook post from the Sheriff's Office said.

Police are investigating a car crash on Gause Boulevard as well. According to the sheriff's office, a vehicle flipped on Gause Boulevard near Pearl Acres, completely stopping traffic going east towards Military Road.
