NEW ORLEANS - Colorado State University researchers revised their forecast for the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season.
In April, their original forecast included 10 tropical storms, four hurricanes and two major hurricanes.
On Friday, they revised their prediction to 13 tropical storms, five hurricanes and two major hurricanes.
Researchers said they increased numbers slightly because of the uncertainty of the development of El Nino.
If the weather pattern develops later this summer, it will bring shearing winds that deter hurricane formation in the Atlantic.
