NEW ORLEANS – Residents under a boil water advisory on October 8 and October 9 will receive a one day credit adjustment on their October bill, according to the Sewerage and Water Board.
“It is our intention to provide potable drinking water every day. In consideration of the Boil Water Advisory, we determined that it was prudent not to charge customers for water usage during that event,” said Executive Director Marcia St. Martin.
The credit adjustment will be the average of a one-day usage.
The adjustment is limited to customers in the east bank service area and is for water service only, as sewer service was not interrupted.
