NEW ORLEANS - On Wednesday, Houston-based Equusearch was looking for any sign of a missing Jefferson Parish teacher at City Park.

Terrilynn Monette, 26, was last seen at Parlay's bar in Lakeview during the early morning hours of March 2.

The four-member Equusearch team is working with New Orleans police, who believe that City Park may have been included in her route from the bar to her apartment.

They used two boats to search the bayou for Monette's 2012 black Honda Accord.

Some spots of the bayou are six feet deep with a muddy bottom, which a car could sink into.

"I've been there before my own self and know what this family is going through. When I heard mom on TV yesterday crying, how can you help not to help?" said Equusearch founder Tim Miller.

Equusearch does not know how long their search will last.

There are no suspects, according to the NOPD.
