It's been almost seven years since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, devastating the area and one local university is finally starting renovations on one of its damaged facilities.
The library at Southern University at New Orleans is coming back.
This morning at 10 o'clock the university will announce the resurrection of the Leonard S. Washington library.
At a ceremony in front of the library, representatives from the student body and the restoration's project manager will speak.
The library expects to reopen by the summer of 2012
