NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans boxing legend Max Docusen Sr. passed away Thursday.
"Little Duke" was one of the best fighters to come out of New Orleans in the 1950s, when boxing was a big deal in the Crescent City.
Docusen fought 86 times, winning 76 of those bouts.
He later became a ringside judge and referee, making the call on some fights featuring some of boxing's greats, including Thomas "Hit-Man" Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard.
He was a member of Louisiana's Boxing Hall of Fame.
He was 84-years-old.
