NEW ORLEANS - Residents take to the streets for a number of reasons in New Orleans.
On Tuesday, city and hospitality industry officials second-lined in a salute to the National Tourism Industry.
The third annual National Travel and Tourism Week parade and rally was at 9 a.m. at the Hotel Monteleone and ended with a news conference at the Cabildo.
New Orleans is one of several cities across the country hosting an event in honor of the week.
Last year, tourism generated $5 billion and welcomed nearly nine million visitors to the city.
