NEW ORLEANS – Firefighters responded to a one-alarm fire Tuesday morning in the French Quarter.
A spokesman said the electrical fire happened at 317 Exchange Place.
The building appeared to be under renovation.
A witness said it appeared an underground line may have been cut, sparking the fire.
There are no reports of any injuries. It was unclear the extent of the damage to the building.
The scene was not far from the Pelican Club and Green Goddess restaurants, and just a few blocks from the NOFD’s headquarters on Decatur St.
