NEW ORLEANS – A 15-year-old boy who did not return home on Sunday, according to the New Orleans Police Department, has been found and returned home.
Tory Mitchell was last seen around 5 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Saint Roch Avenue. Police confirmed that Mitchell had been returned home Tuesday evening.
His mother said he spent the day with a relative in the Eastern New Orleans area.
He was told of which RTA bus to catch to get back home to Chalmette, but he did not arrive at the scheduled time, according to the NOPD.
A younger sibling said Mitchell made comments about possibly visiting an unknown female who lives at an unknown location in the Iberville Housing Development.
Although Mitchell has a cell phone, the device was powered off, police said.
Mitchell did not attend school on Monday, the NOPD said.
