NEW ORLEANS - The future of the now shuttered Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans East could be becoming a little clearer.
On Monday, a city committee created to review redevelopment proposals shot down a plan to reopen the site as a theme park.
The only plan now left on the table is the proposed Jazzland outlet mall.
It includes a 400,000 sqaure foot, $40 million outlet mall and boardwalk entertainment district on the abandoned property.
The company will present its plan at a community meeting in New Orleans East next month.
