NEW ORLEANS – A 66-year-old Slidell man died after hitting a truck on I-10 and being thrown off of his motorcycle near the Michoud exit in New Orleans East, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Martin Foster was driving on the interstate around 10 p.m. on Friday when the driver in front of him, a 56-year-old man from Slidell, stopped due to construction.

Foster lost control of his Harley Davidson and struck the back of the other driver’s Ford truck, NOPD said.

Foster was ejected from the motorcycle and died on the scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured, according to police.
