NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans resident and Tulane student Ian Terry was the big winner on "Big Brother" on CBS on Wednesday night.
He was awarded the $500,000 prize in a six-one vote of seven other contestants.
Terry, 21, originally from Pittsburgh, is studying engineering and described himself as intelligent, eccentric and analytical.
In an interview before the season began, he said the the hardest part about the show will be the fact that he is disconnected from sports, family, friends, internet and TV.
He also said his strategy was to “make an alliance with about six people and I'd like to be seen as maybe the fourth strongest in the group, that way it wouldn't be me going up if the other side gained the power.”
Going to Tulane is one of his proudest accomplishments because he moved far away and signed up for the hardest major.
His life motto – “I came here to kick butt and chew bubblegum, but I'm all out of bubblegum.”
