NEW ORLEANS - A man pressuring washing the side of a building was killed when the adjacent building’s wall fell on top of him Saturday, according to New Orleans Police.
Just before noon, the man, who is said to be around 40-years-old, was working on the wall at 2838 Elysian Fields Ave.
He died instantly, when the cinder blocks of the neighboring wall fell and crushed him, police said.
The businesses on each side of the fallen wall had been arguing for quite some time on who was responsible for securing it, according to the NOPD.
Baker Construction owns the building to which the wall was attached.
The other workers inside the building were uninjured.
